Domain renewals are expensive!

Domain renewals are expensive!

I just renewed 5 of my domain names and that cost me over $50!

I guess in the grand scheme of things it doesn’t cost much, since you only have to pay for the domain names per year, meaning most of my domains are mine until I have to renew them next year in 2013.

I remember a time when domain renewals were only 7.99 and sometimes much, much lower.

Now, it costs an extra $2 for renewal. I guess, as domains become more and more bought there will be no “good” domain names for purchase; unless of course it’s a unique name. In which case, well, there isn’t much of an argument for that although most of the good names are taken, sadly.
