Samsung Galaxy S4 review
Samsung announced the Samsung Galaxy S4 on March 14th, 2013 and released the smartphone in 155 countries in late April 2013. The phone is a successor to the Galaxy S III, and its highlighted features are higher battery life time, incorporates a thinner design and has a slightly larger display.
The new smartphone contains some of the Samsung Galaxy S3’s design, but with a wider and longer display. The S4 is also in competition with the HTC One, so I threw together a little side-by-side comparison. However, this is quite obviously not fit to real-life scale. We’re just comparing the designs of each phone.
Hardware
While I feel the design of the S4 is pretty nice, I would however say that the HTC One has the S4 beat on design. The old rounded feel brings me back to the days of the iPhone 3 or even the Samsung Galaxy S1. At least with the S2 they went for the more cornered look and I think the S2 looks much more appealing in terms of design. When it comes to specification, the S4 of course fairs as one of the best smartphones based on its hardware and based on region the phone has a Quad Core processor that runs up to 1.9 Ghz. Other differences such as the screen size has been done by narrowing the smartphone’s shell to give it an extra 2 inches on the Samsung Galaxy S3. The battery life has also seen a significant increase and the Galaxy S4 holds a 2600 mAh battery where by comparison the S3 holds a 2,100 mAh battery.
